About Bradmore Green Community Hub

The Hub

We are currently in the implementation  stage but will endeavour to get things open as soon as possible.  Keep an eye on this page to find out how we are progressing and we will let you know of all our exciting updates.

The Library

We will be maintaining and invigorating the much loved library building to give it a new lease of life at the heart of the local community.

Why Start a Community Hub

Community hubs can create a sense of belonging and community pride by providing spaces for people to meet, interact, and participate in local activities. They offer opportunities for social interaction and networking, which can help combat social isolation and loneliness. Community hubs can play a crucial role in building resilient communities by providing a focal point for local activities and organising, especially during times of crisis.

More of the Same

We’ll be offering a wide range of community outreach activities, meeting room hire and a retained library element. Maintaining, where possible, the existing library clubs and local activities but expanding into a wider range of activities with guidance from local residents.

Activities Planned

We are currently working on a wide range of services and activities to support the local community, some voluntary led. Activities will be across all age groups and focussed on community need.

Meadows Pre-school

Meadows at Bradmore Green Community Hub

Bradmore Green Community Hub will also be hosting a new pre-school for children 0-4 years. In addition to providing much needed local services, the presence of a long- term tenant will provide longer term financial stability for the Community Hub and the up keep of the building.  Meadows Preschool builds on two existing locally run Pre-schools, Bluebells at Coulsdon Community Centre and Woodlands at Jolliffe Playing Ground. Meadows preschool will extend childcare support to children 9 months+ with an additional focus on children with SEND support.

For more info on the existing pre-schools see below:

Established in 2013 Bluebells Pre-school has been an active part of the local community providing quality childcare for 2-4 years in Coulsdon and surrounding areas.
